Steps to Processing a Draft Invoice
-
Create a Draft Invoice.
This can be done manually or automatically.
-
Edit and Validate the Draft Invoice.
-
Submit the Draft Invoice. See Submitting a Draft Invoice.
For steps 2 and 3: If the Draft Invoice has no errors or warnings, there is no requirement for editing or validation, and the Draft Invoice is submitted automatically.
-
Lock in matching between Invoice Lines and Receipt Lines on the Draft Invoice. See Locking Receipt Matching.
-
Submit the Draft Invoice again, after all lines have been matched. See Submitting a Draft Invoice.
For steps 4 and 5: If the suggested receipt match with the highest confidence is greater than or equal to the Trust Threshold setting, for all lines, the Draft Invoice is submitted automatically.
After the Draft Invoice is successfully submitted, an AP Invoice is created and displayed on the AP Invoice page.
