Delegations

Users with roles such as Approver, Purchase Order Creator, or Receiver (for example) can delegate, or assign, one or more of these roles to another user, for a specified period or indefinitely. See Delegating Roles.

For example, a user can delegate a role or roles to another user to allow the approval process to continue during temporary absences.
